Leeds United are reportedly preparing a six-figure bid for Tom Hamer after his emergence into the Oldham Athletic first-team.

It has been a frustrating window for the Elland Road faithful thus far, with Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker proving to be the club’s only additions since Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival at the start of the summer.
Leeds fans will be hoping that Bielsa has his eye on some additions who will instantly improve the first-team, but right now, it appears that Hamer is a player on the club’s radar.

The Sun on Sunday adds that Hamer is happy to continue his development at Oldham right now, while there are also teams from the top flight sniffing around the starlet after his debut season in the League Two side’s first-team.
They were relegated from the third tier, but Hamer gave the fans something to smile about as he adapted well to playing in the senior side, making seven appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
It would appear from the report that Leeds have their work cut out in their attempts to land Hamer, but perhaps the full-back can look at the path that clearly runs between Carlos Corberan’s under-23 side and the first-team at Thorp Arch as a source of encouragement that a move to Leeds could be a good one for his career if he does decide to leave this summer.
