Leeds United reportedly hope to keep Marcelo Bielsa beyond the end of the season.

Leeds plan to activate the option within Marcelo Bielsa’s contract to keep him at Elland Road next season, with talks already underway regarding improvements to the club’s training ground, according to a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Bielsa has captured the imagination during his time in the Championship. Sheffield United’s win on Saturday all but ends the Whites’ hopes of securing automatic-promotion, but the club could still go up through the play-offs.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Bielsa is set to stick around if Leeds do secure a spot in the Premier League, but his future looks a little less certain if the Whites remain in the second tier.
However, the report adds that the Leeds board plan to trigger the option within Bielsa’s contract this summer regardless of which division they find themselves in.

The Yorkshire Evening Post suggests that Bielsa has already discussed further improvements to Thorp Arch with Andrea Radrizzani, who has already spent £600,000 on the facility since the Argentinian was appointed last summer.
Whatever happens this season, the large majority of Leeds supporters will be delighted if the club manage to keep Bielsa. Ever since Mateusz Klich found the back of the net against Stoke City on the opening day of the campaign, there has been little doubt that Leeds are moving in the right direction at a rapid pace under his guidance.
The dream outcome for the Whites fans would be for the club to secure promotion this season, but keeping Bielsa for another year would provide a huge boost if they miss out.
