Leeds United are one of several clubs keen on Brentford winger Florian Jozefzoon, according to Sky Sports. The report claims Derby County have seen a £1.5 million bid rejected by the Bees, who deemed the offer to be far short of their valuation of the player.

Winger Jozefzoon scored seven goals and assisted as many in 39 Championship appearances last season – setting up Oli Watkins’ equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Derby last September.

But with his contract due to expire at the end of the coming campaign, Brentford may be keen to cash in on the former Netherlands Under-21 international. And that could encourage further bids from the likes of Derby and Leeds.

Incidentally, the two clubs are said to be in talks over a transfer of their own, with Derby’s Matej Vydra wanted by Leeds.

Sky Sports reported on Tuesday that the Derby manager, Frank Lampard, has been given permission to hold talks with Chelsea’s former Rams loanee Kasey Palmer, who plays in Jozefzoon’s position.

Would Jozefzoon be a good addition for Leeds United / Derby County?
