Leeds United are reportedly looking to expand their scouting team by appointing a new chief scout.

According to a report from The Sun on Sunday (print edition; 1st October 2017; page 61), Leeds are looking to improve their scouting by appointing a new chief scout to work with director of football Victor Orta.
The Whites have gone through quite a drastic restructuring since Andrea Radrizzani took full control of the Championship side earlier in the year, with Orta arriving and Thomas Christiansen being appointed as Garry Monk’s successor in the dugout.

Given the new structure and personnel, it was no surprise that Leeds turned to areas of the market they have previously barely looked at when it came to player recruitment.
And it appears that the Peacocks are looking to make further appointments, with The Sun on Sunday (print edition; 1st October 2017; page 61) reporting that they are planning to appoint a new chief scout with the aim of uncovering emerging talent.

Leeds fans will be hoping that whoever the chief scout ends up being, they can continue the good work that Orta has seemingly done since he arrived at Elland Road in the summer.
The likes of Samuel Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski were probably not household names to the majority of the Leeds fanbase before their summer arrivals, but they have both enjoyed bright starts to their spells with the club – the former, in particular, has been fantastic since joining – and the club may be hoping that expanding their scouting team may help them uncover further gems.
