Leeds United really seem to be stepping up their chase for a striker now, with Rafael Leao the latest man in their sights, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Lille striker is believed to be on Leeds’ radar, with Andrea Radrizzani already making contact with the French club over doing a deal.
Marcelo Bielsa is said to want two strikers to increase his side’s scoring threat on their return to the Premier League, and Leao could prove an appealing option.
The Portuguese prospect may not be the finished article yet, but his former boss Stefano Pioli has spoken about just how good the 21-year-old could become.
“Rafael Leao is improving a great deal, he has this incredible potential and can do so much more,” Piola said to Football Italia.
If Leeds were to sign Leao and another striker in a double swoop, as Bielsa is seemingly planning, then their attacking options could look much stronger next term.

Patrick Bamford is currently Leeds’ main striking option, but doubts remain over his credentials to lead the line for a full Premier League season, as he produced some wasteful finishes in the Championship last term.
Leao’s ability to play right across the front line would surely appeal, and if he was brought in with a more proven goalscorer, then he could be a great addition to Bielsa’s side for the years ahead.
