Leeds United are now competing with several Premier League clubs for the signature of Nicolae Stanciu, according to Calcio Mercato.
Stanciu has apparently emerged on Leeds’ radar, after their promotion to the Premier League, with Marcelo Bielsa looking at bringing in another attacking midfielder.
Leeds may need a younger option to compete with Pablo Hernandez, given the demands of top flight football.
And the Slavia Prague midfielder, who is 27-years-old, is seemingly near the top of their wishlist.
Leeds may not have it all their own way in the battle to sign him though.
The Whites need to compete with an unnamed Italian side, who have made an approach, and a number of Premier League clubs.

It is Leeds who said to be ‘in the front row’ in the race though, with the playmaker available for £7 million.
Stanciu claimed four goals and eight assists in the league for Slavia Prague last term, and he also featured in all six of their Champions League group games.
If he was brought to Leeds he could increase their attacking threat, and at his current price, he could turn out to be a bargain.
