Leeds United are potentially facing a straight race with Fulham, as they battle to sign Florentino Luis, Tutto Mercato Web report.
AC Milan have been linked with the Benfica midfielder, but they are said to be lagging behind in the race to sign him.
Indeed, TMW say that Leeds and Fulham are the front runners as Luis wants a move to the Premier League.
The Portuguese under-21 international, who is thought to be valued at around £25 million (Record), is apparently far closer to Elland Road than the Italian capital.
That has to be considered a boost to Leeds, who could be strengthened by Luis’s arrival.
Marcelo Bielsa appears to want to add another midfielder to his group, and Luis could present an appealing option, if a deal for Rodrigo de Paul cannot be completed.

If Leeds could line up with Luis and Kalvin Phillips in midfield together then their defence would surely be given plenty of protection.
And that could be key as Leeds look to compete back in the Premier League this term.
