Leeds United are in a battle with Newcastle United for Calum Chambers, who is set to leave Arsenal, TeamTalk report.
Leeds and Newcastle had both apparently wanted Rob Holding, but Mikel Arteta now wants to keep him around, and they have diverted their attention to signing Chambers.
Chambers can leave Arsenal for £12 million, with the Gunners looking to raise funds.
It now remains to be seen whether Leeds or Newcastle will push to make a bid for Chambers in the near future.
The pair are not the only clubs interested, with Fulham and West Ham United also claimed to be keen.

But Leeds director of football Victor Orta is apparently a big fan of Chambers, after signing him for Middlesbrough earlier in his career, and he could look to repeat the trick at Elland Road.
If Chambers was to move to Leeds he would offer Marcelo Bielsa’s side more Premier League experience at the back, and would add competition for Liam Cooper and Robin Koch.
