According to The Telegraph, Leeds could make a move for Dan James in January if Manchester United can obtain a work permit for Amad Diallo.
The Red Devils signed the 18-year-old back in the summer for a fee which could reach £37.5 million after add-ons, according to the Independent.
However, he is yet to receive a work permit, so could be unable to link up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in January.
Having said that, if he is granted one, then that could give Leeds the green light to make another move for James, who they targeted in the summer according to the Manchester Evening News.
If this happened, then the Elland Road faithful should get excited.

Admittedly, the Wales international – who cost Solskjaer £15 million – has struggled this season.
The 23-year-old has made just six appearances in all competitions with only a single goal to show for his efforts.
However, his pace could be devastating in Marcelo Bielsa’s set-up.

The Argentine’s system creates plenty of space for his side to attack, courtesy of hard work, off-the-ball movement and clever passing.
In that respect, James – a player whose pace has been likened to that of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe – could help Leeds stretch teams even more.
Significantly, The Telegraph state that it seems ‘likely’ Diallo will get a work permit, so keep your eyes on the ex-Swansea winger’s future this January.
