Leeds United may yet have a lingering shot at Michael Frey.

According to Ajansspor in Turkey, Fenerbahce striker Michael Frey has seen his move to Caykur Rizespor fall through at the last minute.
Frey, 25, hit four goals in 16 games for Fenerbahce last season, and has subsequently been linked with a move away from the club.
The Swiss target man, known for being a powerhouse striker, has effectively had his role taken by Vedat Muriqi, who just joined Fenerbahce from Caykur Rizespor.
In a strange twist, Caykur have now targeted Frey as Muriqi’s replacement, but have allegedly seen the move fall through at the last minute.
Frey may still move on, and his move to Caykur collapsing may just hand Leeds another shot at signing the former Lille hitman before next week’s transfer deadline.
Fotomac reported last month that two teams in the battle for Frey were Caykur and Leeds, and with the former now seemingly out of the race, Leeds may have a free run.

Marcelo Bielsa does have Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford at his disposal, but signing a brute of a target man would be ideal, handing Leeds a different dimension in attack.
Fernando Llorente and Andre-Pierre Gignac were two similar strikers who enjoyed great success under Bielsa, and the path may now be clear for Frey to be signed if Leeds remain keen on a physical centre forward.
