Leeds United are keen to land Julian Draxler from PSG, RMC Sport report.

Leeds have been linked with some high profile players this summer, but Draxler may well be at the very top of that list.

Leeds are actually said to have made contact with Draxler this summer, as they begin to make their moves in an attempt to bring him to Elland Road.

The German playmaker, who once cost PSG £30m to buy (Goal), has fallen out of favour in the French capital, and the Whites are seemingly sensing an opportunity.

Le10 Sport reported earlier this summer that PSG were desperate to sell him, so if Leeds do make an offer, getting them to agree on a price may actually not be particularly difficult.

However, financing Draxler’s wages could be an issue, as he would surely have to take a pay cut to join them.

Draxler is currently on £120,000-a-week at PSG (BuzzSport), and it seems unlikely that Leeds will match that sort of salary.

The temptation with a move to Leeds would have to be that he would get regular game time.

Draxler could be the star of the show at Leeds, which would be fitting for a player of his talents.

The World Cup winner has not featured much at all of late at PSG, and a move could suit him – but whether Leeds will be able to convince him to join them, for their first season back in the top flight, still remains to be seen.
