Leeds United are still pushing for more new signings before the transfer deadline.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United have left the door open for deals to be resurrected for Abel Hernandez and Matej Vydra, with the Whites still pursuing signings.
The Whites have tied up one new signing this summer having brought in Lewis Baker on loan from Chelsea, and his Blues teammate Jamal Blackman is expected to follow him today.
Leeds still need new faces ahead of the new Championship season though, and two targets who have dominated the summer speculation are Abel Hernandez and Matej Vydra.
Leeds have pursued the pair all summer, and The Yorkshire Evening Post report that Leeds have left the door open for deals to be salvaged with both having backed away last week.
Hernandez’s wages are seemingly beyond what Leeds want to pay, whilst Vydra’s agent allegedly came back with increased wage demands too, forcing the Whites to put both of them on the backburner.
The pair have been proven Championship goalscorers in recent years, hence Leeds’ desire to lure them to Elland Road, but it seems that hopes of signing them have taken a major dent.

The report also shares Leeds’ remaining transfer plans, as they want to bring in a full back, midfielder and striker to boost Bielsa’s options ahead of the new Championship season.
A new midfielder is certainly surprising given that Baker has arrived, and Bielsa already has Adam Forshaw, Ronaldo Vieira and Kalvin Phillips at his disposal among others, meaning he may not play a 3-3-1-3 system after all.
