Leeds United have submitted an improved offer for Josko Gvardiol, Gianluca Di Marzio says.
Leeds have been chasing Gvardiol in recent weeks, as they look to tie up a deal for the Dinamo Zagreb prospect.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have already been knocked back once by the Croatian outfit, but Leeds have now upped their bid.
Leeds’ current offer is said to be worth £20 million, with a 20 per cent sell on clause offered to Zagreb.
The Croatian side are said to want around £23 million for their prized defender, who was described as ‘impressive’ by transfer expert Dan Altman in the Yorkshire Evening Post, so Leeds are now just £3 million away from definitely sealing a deal.

Of course, Zagreb may feel that Leeds’ current offer represents a good enough deal for them to take anyway.
The 18-year-old centre-back, has only had limited game time with them, and at his current price, turning down offers would be a huge risk, considering he still has a lot to prove.
There are high hopes for the teenager’s future though, and if Gvardiol was to join Leeds he could be an extremely exciting addition for the years ahead.
