Leeds United have entered talks over a deal to sign Yasser Larouci from Premier League champions Liverpool, with Goal reporting that Brentford are also in the race for his signature.
With Andy Robertson the only senior left-back in Jurgen Klopp’s title-winning ranks, the 19-year-old Algerian might have harboured some hopes of a first-team berth ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Instead, Larouci will be forced to turn his back on Anfield with just 12 months remaining on his contract. Goal claims that Liverpool have accepted that a move away is for the best.
However, if it is regular football he wants, then Elland Road could be the ideal destination.
After all, Marcelo Bielsa cares not a jot about age. If you’re good enough, you’re old enough for his Leeds United side.
Goal adds that talks over a move to West Yorkshire are underway, with Leeds looking to beat promotion rivals Brentford to a teenager who moved to Merseyside from Le Havre in 2017.

An adventurous and attack-minded full-back, Larouci should have few problems adapting to ‘Bielsaball’.
The enigmatic, bucket-perching Argentine demands thrust and pace out wide and those are two attributes Larouci has in droves, suggesting that he could be the solution to a long-standing problem position.
As it stands, Leeds are top of the Championship table and need just four points from their final three games to seal a return to the big time after 16 years away.
Larouci would be their first summer signing, although Goal points out that Liverpool are likely to insist on a buy-back clause being included in the youngster’s contract.
