Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United are in danger of losing Cody Drameh in the January transfer window, with Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund interested in signing the Elland Road prospect, according to The Daily Mail.

Drameh is struggling for playing time at Leeds at the moment, and both Newcastle and Dortmund are reportedly keeping tabs on the 20-year-old full-back’s situation.
The England Under-21 international – described as “phenomenal” by former Cardiff City manager Steve Morison in WalesOnline in February 2022 – has made one appearance in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup for Leeds so far this season.
Drameh is a right-back by trade, but the youngster can also play on the left.
Newcastle are looking for a back-up to England international right-back Kieran Trippier, and think that Leeds youngster Drameh would be a good signing.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Cody Drameh could struggle to get regular playing time at Newcastle United if he left Leeds United.
After all, Trippier is the clear number one right-back at St. James’ Park and is at the top of his game at the moment.
However, a move to Newcastle could appeal to the English full-back.
Newcastle are a club on the up who could end up in the Premier League top four this season.
We know that Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe is someone who improves and makes players better, and that could appeal to Drameh.
