Leeds United are ‘understood to have agreed to meet Wolverhampton Wanderers’ asking price’ for Douglas.
Leeds United are understood to have tabled offers for four new players – including the Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Barry Douglas – according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The newspaper understands Leeds are have agreed to meet Wolves’ asking price for Douglas and will try to tie up the move in the next few days.
But the 28-year-old may not be the only new face arriving at Elland Road, with the YEP stating in an earlier piece that, according to club sources, Leeds’ bids are for a centre-forward, winger, midfielder and full-back – which now appears to be Douglas.
The identities of those remaining targets remain to be seen, and it is unclear whether or not the striker is either Matej Vydra or Abel Hernandez – both of whom the Whites are reported to have made contact over earlier in the summer before cooling their interest.
Douglas starred as Wolves romped to the last season’s Championship title, scoring five goals and setting up 14 in 39 outings.
But his position appears to be under threat by the seemingly imminent arrival of Jonny Castro at Molineux.
