Leeds United have made their first move in a bid to sign Harry Wilson from Liverpool, the Liverpool Echo claim, but Newcastle United and Southampton are also keen.

Wilson has emerged as a potential target for Leeds this summer, and they are now said to have made contact over landing the Welshman.

Marcelo Bielsa seems to be targeting adding another attacker to his squad, with Ryan Kent also linked but proving difficult to get hold of.

Wilson has more Premier League experience than Kent, as he had a season out on loan with Bournemouth last term, where he netted seven goals.

Leeds now want to take him from Liverpool on a permanent basis, but it is thought that he would cost at least £20 million.

That could prove expensive for Leeds, but they are apparently making moves to sign him.

Newcastle United and Southampton have also made contact with Liverpool in a bid to sign the winger, the Echo say.

Wilson would add to Leeds’ attacking threat, as his shooting has been described as ‘world-class’ by Jurgen Klopp in the Guardian.

The 23-year-old is a real threat from range, with his left-foot a huge danger.

Leeds know about Wilson well having come up against him multiple times in the Championship, and his arrival would add further competition for places out wide next term.
