Leeds United have been handed a major fitness boost, as Patrick Bamford is not thought to be injured after his issue against Chelsea, the Guardian report.

Bamford hobbled off at the weekend, as Leeds took on the Blues, despite trying to play on.

The striker battled to keep his place, but ultimately found running too painful, and had to be taken off by Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds’ top scorer was clearly gutted at the time, as he wasn’t able to make an impact against his former club.

However, it seems that his spell on the sidelines will not be a long one.

The Guardian suggest that Bamford is expected to be fit to play for Leeds in their next game against Fulham.

They actually claim that the striker could also be called up to the England squad for the upcoming international break, which would highlight the progress he has made this term.

Bamford’s availability seriously increases Leeds’ chance of beating a Fulham team who have shown good form of late on Friday.

Rodrigo is clearly a talent, but still has work to do to adjust to Premier League football, and Leeds are a much stronger team when Bamford starts.
