According to Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre (10:16am), three Leeds United first-team players could be leaving the club on loan this week as Marcelo Bielsa shapes his squad.

The Whites presented new manager Bielsa to the media for the first time on Monday afternoon, with the Argentinian taking his first steps into English football following his appointment earlier this month.

Bielsa noted during his introductory press conference that Leeds have 15 more players than they need, hinting that major changes are coming at Elland Road before the start of the new season.

Now, Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre (10:16am) report that three first-team players could leave Leeds before the end of the week, with loan deals being lined up.

Lewie Coyle may be included in that number, as he completed a loan return to League One side Fleetwood Town today, but there may well be more and more exits to come.

If Coyle isn’t one of the players classed as a ‘first-team’ ace, then the attention will turn to other players potentially leaving, with Andrew Lonergan a prime candidate if Leeds land another goalkeeper.

Tyler Denton and Marcus Antonsson are expected to leave for Brescia in Italy, but they wouldn’t be classed as first-team players either, though Caleb Ekuban could be a candidate in attack.

Laurens De Bock, Eunan O’Kane, Vurnon Anita, Pawel Cibicki and Hadi Sacko may be other players primed for the exit, with Bielsa seemingly looking to hack away numbers from his oversized Leeds squad.
