Petagna played alongside a former Leeds United striker in Serie A last season.

Leeds United have offered £15 million (around £13.7m) for the SPAL striker, Andrea Petagna, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
But the Italian website claims that SPAL – who paid €10m (around £9.1m) to sign Petagna permanently from Atalanta earlier this summer – are continuing to demand £25m (around £22.8m).
The 24-year-old Italian international scored 16 goals in 36 Serie A matches last season – playing with the former Leeds striker, Mirco Antenucci – and would be some coup for the Championship side, should they get him.
In fact, the Guardian reported at the end of last season that Leicester City were preparing their own bid of €20m (around £18.2m) for Petagna, for whom it added a deal could not be agreed with Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City in January

A powerful front man, who stands at around 6ft 3, Petagna would bring something different to a Leeds forward line that failed to score as many goals as it perhaps should have done last season.
Leeds have yet to spend a single penny on transfer fees this summer, but do have an obligation to sign one of their four loan recruits, Helder Costa, on a permanent deal at the end of the campaign.

The Whites have, however, raised around £14m through the sales of Jack Clarke and Pontus Jansson.
