According to Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti, Leeds United may face a wait to sign Dinamo Zagreb defender Josko Gvardiol.
Reports broke over the weekend of Leeds moving for Gvardiol, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that talks are underway over a €20million (£18million) deal.
Now, it’s stated that Gvardiol’s move is ‘just a matter of details’, but Gvardiol intends to play in Dinamo’s clash with Ferencvaros on September 16th.
That’s a key Champions League qualifier for Dinamo, and Gvardiol would allegedly only be allowed to move on once that game is completed.
That means Leeds face a two week wait for Gvardiol to complete his move, which could become a source of frustration if true.
Marcelo Bielsa allegedly thinks he can turn Gvardiol into a ‘world-class defender’, so Leeds may well be patient with their pursuit of the Croatian.

The 18-year-old is a left-footed centre back who could be brought in as competition for Liam Cooper whilst being developed as his future replacement.
Gvardiol has made 13 first-team appearances for Dinamo, but Leeds have seemingly seen enough to invest considerable money in him – just as soon as that final game with Dinamo takes place.
