Leeds United are reportedly closing in on what could be their first signing of the summer.

According to a report from Leeds Live, those close to Jack Harrison expect the Manchester City winger to complete his loan move to Leeds United by the end of the week.
Harrison’s return to Elland Road has looked to be on the cards ever since it was confirmed that Marcelo Bielsa was staying with the Championship side for another year.
Bielsa used Harrison regularly last season, and it appears that the winger is about to become Leeds’ first summer signing despite Leeds Live reporting that the Cityzens have held talks with various clubs in England and Scotland.
The report notes that sources close to Harrison have suggested that his return to the Whites is set to be confirmed in the coming days, and he is excited about the chance to work with Bielsa again.

A good move for Leeds?
It is hardly a hot-take to suggest that Harrison endured a mixed season at Leeds last year. There were moments of undeniable brilliance – most notably, the assist in the play-off semi-final against Derby at Pride Park – but no player in the squad seemed to frustrate the fans quite as much as the youngster.

There were a number of games where Harrison struggled to make any notable impact. But Bielsa’s decision to push for his return suggests that he believes that he can get more out of the wide-man.
If that is the case, perhaps getting him back on loan could prove to be an inspired piece of business from Leeds.
