Leeds United have reportedly decide not to move for Callum O’Dowda.

According to The Mirror, Leeds United have decided not to pursue a move for Bristol City winger Callum O’Dowda this summer.
The Whites are in need of a new winger this summer, even if they manage to bring Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison back to Elland Road.
Marcelo Bielsa needs reinforcements out wide having missed out on Daniel James in January, and Bristol City’s O’Dowda has been one name mentioned throughout 2019.
The 24-year-old Irishman is out of contract next summer and refusing to sign a new deal, meaning the Robins may need to cash in this summer before he leaves for nothing.
However, The Mirror report that Leeds won’t be moving to sign O’Dowda this summer, having seemingly decided to look elsewhere for wide support.
It seems that instead of O’Dowda, Leeds will instead pursue Helder Costa, with The Express and Star claiming that the Whites want to lure the £13m winger to Elland Road.

Costa struggled in the Premier League and may drop back to the Championship with Leeds on loan, providing Bielsa with the attacking option he needs – and a player even more exciting than O’Dowda.
In Costa’s two Championship seasons with Wolves, he racked up 15 goals and 14 assists, compared to O’Dowda’s five goals and seven assists in his last two seasons, summing up why Leeds appear to be focusing on the Portuguese ace instead.
