Leeds United are still being linked with a move to sign Bologna defender Filip Helander.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere di Bologna, Leeds United are continuing to pursue Bologna centre back Filip Helander in the hope of reuniting him with Pontus Jansson.
Leeds have brought in a host of new signings this summer, but just the one centre back has arrived so far, with Everton youngster Matthew Pennington arriving on a season-long loan deal.

Whilst Jansson, a star of last season, has penned a permanent deal from Torino, Leeds have been weakened by the loss of Kyle Bartley, who has returned to parent club Swansea City following the expiration of his loan deal.
Manager Thomas Christiansen does still have Liam Cooper and new man Pennington at his disposal, but another dominant centre back would help solidify the Leeds back line.
In June, Goal reported that Leeds were keen to sign Bologna defender Filip Helander, and Italian newspaper Corriere di Bologna report that the Whites remain keen on signing him.
It’s added that Bologna are open to selling the centre back if Leeds make them an attractive bid, seemingly more than the £3.6million they were claimed to have offered in June.

Helander, 24, joined Bologna on loan from Hellas Verona last summer, and whilst he started just nine league games last season, the Serie A side made his move permanently – and could cash in this summer as Leeds continue their pursuit.
Leeds star Jansson would surely be delighted with such a move, as he partnered Helander in the Malmo defence for a number of years, and their potential reunion could make Leeds a solid unit at the back given their relationship.
