Leeds United are assessing whether to make a second bid for Glasgow Rangers winger Ryan Kent, the Daily Star report.

Leeds’ second offer for the wide-man would be £15 million, which may tempt Rangers into selling.

Steven Gerrard has been defiant so far in stating that he wants to keep Kent, and Rangers knocked back Leeds’ first offer for the attacker, to prove their desire to keep hold of him.

However, even Gerrard admitted that every player has his price – and whether a £15 million bid would convince Rangers to sell remains to be seen.

The Scottish club would make a significant profit on Kent if they were to offload him to Leeds for that sort of money, after paying £7 million to sign him just a year ago (BBC Sport).

Kent himself is apparently not looking to push for a transfer, although if a bid was accepted, he would be willing to join Leeds.

If Leeds do pay £15 million for the wide-man it will further outline their ambition going into the new campaign.

Leeds are set to sign Rodrigo for £27 million in the near future (Goal), and if Kent was to arrive that would mean that they have spent over £40 million improving their attack this summer.

The prospect of seeing Kent and Rodrigo linking up together at Elland Road now has to be considered an exciting one, with the double deal appearing to be a real possibility at this stage.
