Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch is on the radar of Southampton as a potential replacement for Ralph Hasenhuttl, according to The Times.

The report has claimed that Leeds boss Marsch and Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper are among the managers that Southampton are considering replacing Hasenhuttl with.

The Saints are reportedly looking at potential replacements for Hasenhuttl if results do not improve.

Southampton are 16th in the Premier League table at the moment with seven points from eight matches, just a point above the relegation zone.

Could Jesse Marsch leave Leeds United for Southampton?

In our opinion, Jesse Marsch is unlikely to leave Leeds United for Southampton now.

After all, the West Yorkshire outfit appointed the American boss in charge of the first team only in February 2022 after the departure of Marcelo Bielsa, and and they will surely not want to let him go now.

Moreover, like Leeds, Southampton are expected to fight for survival in the Premier League this season.

So, why would Marsch leave Leeds for the Saints now?

We do not think that Southampton will be able to sign the American from Leeds anytime soon.
