Leeds United manager Garry Monk
A report in the Yorkshire Evening Post has claimed that Garry Monk will receive a one-match touchline ban as he plans to plead guilty to a misconduct charge handed to him in the wake of Leeds United’s defeat to Bristol City last month.
Leeds manager Garry Monk is sent to the stands
The United boss was sent off in the final minutes of the game at Ashton Gate. And while Monk suggested after the game that he was not sure why referee Keith Stroud had taken the action he did, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports that he is going to accept the charge coming his way.
Should Monk end up receiving the one-match touchline ban as the Yorkshire Evening Post suggests, his assistant Pep Clotet will take charge of the Whites’ clash with Derby County in their first game following the international break.

The news that Monk is unlikely to be on the sidelines against the Rams is a blow. United have enjoyed a great run lately, winning five of their last six games in all competitions, and the former Swansea chief may have been hoping to keep as many aspects of their preparation the same as possible.
But perhaps fearing the impact that a lengthier ban would have if he contested the charge and lost, Monk will surely be making the right decision accepting the reprimand as it will allow the team to put the entire incident behind them after their next game.
