Leeds United have reportedly failed in their attempts to sign Bram Nuytinck.
According to Belgian newspaper De Morgen, Anderlecht defender Bram Nuytinck snubbed a move to Leeds United in order to join Italian side Udinese on Thursday.
Nuytinck, 27, made his name with NEC Nijmegen in his native Netherlands before earning a 2012 move to Anderlecht, where he has been a first-team regular.

With more than 150 appearances for Anderlecht in all competitions, Nuytinck has been a fixture of the Anderlecht side, winning two league titles in the process – but he’s now on the move this summer.
On Thursday, Nuytinck left Anderlecht in order to sign for Italian side Udinese, penning a four-year deal with the Serie A club – but he appears to have had a chance to sign for Leeds United.
Belgian newspaper De Morgen report that Nuytinck did have a chance to join Leeds, but chose Udinese instead as the Whites’ search for a new centre back goes on.
New manager Thomas Christiansen has already brought in one defender this summer, landing Everton’s Matthew Pennington on loan for the season, but another option may be needed alongside Pennington, Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper.

Nuytinck, an experienced performer who helped Anderlecht qualify for the Champions League this past season, would have fit the bill alongside Jansson, as Leeds look to replace Kyle Bartley after his loan deal ended.
However, with Nuytinck instead choosing Italy over a move to Elland Road, Leeds’ pursuit of a defender goes on, and it may be a case of back to the drawing board for Christiansen and co.
