According to a report by The Athletic, Leeds United believe Conor Gallagher would be brilliant in Marcelo Bielsa’s system.
Leeds have been linked with a loan move for Gallagher this summer, and it seems as though the higher-ups at Elland Road believe he’d be a great fit for the Yorkshire outfit.
It’s no secret that Marcelo Bielsa likes a specific type of player for his system, and United believe that Gallagher fits the bill.

It doesn’t take a genius to understand why Leeds like Gallagher.
Much like Leeds’ current midfielders, Gallagher has a real engine on him, he can run all day and he’s a tenacious tackler, averaging 2.7 tackles per game for West Brom last term, despite playing in a rather advanced midfield role.
Lee Bowyer has even described his willingness and workrate as ‘unreal’ so he sounds as though he’s perfect for Bielsa.
Gallagher could fit into Bielsa’s side either as a number 8 or in the more creative central role we’ve seen occupied by the likes of Rodrigo and Tyler Roberts over the past 12 months.
Unfortunately, Leeds face competition from Crystal Palace for the midfielder’s signature this summer, but with the Whites building such an exciting project under Bielsa, they may be able to convince him to move up north rather than across London.
