According to The Express, Leeds United and Everton both want to sign Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo this summer.
It’s claimed that Leeds and Everton have been scouting him in recent months ahead of potential summer move.
Calciomercato did suggest earlier this month that Liverpool want Brekalo, but The Express claim that he is not on the Reds’ radar at this time.
Napoli and Bayern Munich are believed to be keen though, with the report noting that he has been compared to Arjen Robben – pretty lofty stuff.
It’s a particularly interesting comparison as Robben was all left foot, whereas Brekalo predominantly plays on the left side and cuts in onto his right foot.
This season, Brekalo has notched seven goals and four assists, including a hat-trick against Union Berlin last weekend.

The 22-year-old, formerly of Dinamo Zagreb, is expected to feature for Croatia at the European Championships this summer, where he could attract even more interest.
Leeds want another winger given that Helder Costa hasn’t exactly impressed in the Premier League, whilst Everton are seeking another wide man to bolster Carlo Ancelotti’s attacking options.
Brekalo fits the bill, and if he continues to shine as he has in recent weeks, don’t be surprised to see Premier League bids flying in this summer.
