Leeds United have made an approach for Massimiliano Allegri, as they assess potential replacements for Marcelo Bielsa, the Times report.
Bielsa is yet to commit his future to Leeds, with his contract running out at the end of the season.
While it is widely expected that Bielsa will eventually commit to staying for another year, Leeds are now making contingency plans.
And Andrea Radrizzani is said to have some big names on his wishlist, as he eyes up a potential successor to Bielsa.
Allegri, who has been hailed as ‘world-class’ (Football Italia), has already been contacted to gauge his interest in taking over at Elland Road, should Bielsa depart.
The report does not say whether Allegri would be keen to join Leeds, but if he did it would be a move which highlighted the Whites’ ambition.

Allegri has a hugely impressive managerial track record, and has won the Italian league with both AC Milan and Juventus.
Leeds are also thought to be considering Julen Lopetegui, who is currently in charge of Sevilla, if they do part ways with Bielsa.
