Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion are reportedly amongst the queue of clubs set to rival Celtic for Nick Powell.

Championship leaders Leeds are hoping to see off competition from the likes of West Brom and Celtic and land the signature of Nick Powell before the transfer window closes, according to TEAMtalk.
Powell was superb as Wigan Athletic clinched the League One title last season, and has started this campaign brilliantly, with three goals and three assists for the Latics.
His form has prompted a number of clubs to have a look at trying to lure him away from the DW Stadium. TEAMtalk reports that Leeds, West Brom, Middlesbrough and Stoke are all interested, while long-time admirers Celtic are also monitoring his situation.
On paper, it would appear that Celtic have an advantage given that they can sign Powell permanently this month, whereas the Championship quartet would have to look at an initial loan, but TEAMtalk suggests that he is looking set to join one of Wigan’s divisional rivals in a deal that could be worth up to £5 million once it becomes permanent.

Exciting move from Leeds?
Leeds have made a fantastic start to the season and are scoring and creating goals all over the pitch. The attacking midfield group of Samuel Saiz, Pablo Hernandez, Gjanni Alioski and Mateusz Klich has been lethal so far, but perhaps Marcelo Bielsa is considering adding Powell to the equation at this late stage of the window.

He will not come cheap if any move is converted into a permanent deal at a later stage, but if Powell can replicate his Wigan form at his next club, he could prove to be an inspired signing.
And if that next club proves to be Leeds, then the rest of the Championship may have another reason to fear what Bielsa’s men could be capable of this season.
