According to The Sun, West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is now wanted by former club Manchester United.
Johnstone has been impressive for the Baggies this season, even being called ‘outstanding’ by Glenn Hoddle earlier this season.
He has subsequently received major interest, with ESPN claiming that Tottenham are leading the race for his signature this summer.
Leeds United and West Ham United are also thought to be keen, but Spurs are the favourites with question marks over Hugo Lloris.
Now though, it’s suggested that Manchester United want to bring Johnstone back to Old Trafford in an emotional move.
The Red Devils have allegedly picked Johnstone out for a return should David De Gea or Dean Henderson leave the club this summer.

Johnstone may have been born in Preston, but he came through the ranks at United, spending his formative years with the club before leaving for West Brom in 2018.
Johnstone has excelled this season, and it could all see him return to Old Trafford – but Spurs, Leeds and West Ham still pose a major threat.
