The Wolverhampton Wanderers captain is reportedly wamted by Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday ahead of Friday’s deadline for loans and free transfers.

Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday are in a fight to sign Danny Batth on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to the Daily Mirror’s live blog [30th August, 03:57].
Batth is now sixth-choice in the centre of Wolves’ defence after this month’s capture of Leander Dendoncker, and failed to make the squad for his side’s trip to Wednesday in the EFL Cup this week – despite manager Nuno Espirito Santo making nine changes to his starting 11.
Asked about the 27-year-old’s future afterwards, Nuno failed to rule out a move before Friday’s 5pm deadline for loans and free transfers in the EFL.
And Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday are both said to be seeking reinforcements in Batth’s position before then.

Leeds have made a blistering start to life under Marcelo Bielsa, and top the Championship with five games played.
But with three players, Gaetano Berardi, Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson, already in a competitive battle to make Bielsa’s first-choice pairing, Batth’s best chance of regular football could be greater at Hillsborough.

Batth, who continues to captain Wolves, his boyhood club, spent two spells on loan to Sheffield Wednesday earlier in his career.
Would the Wolves man be a better signing for Leeds or Sheffield Wednesday?
