According to RMC Sport, defender Tanguy Kouassi has told Paris Saint-Germain that he will be leaving the club this summer – but his destination remains unknown.
It’s claimed that PSG have ‘done everything’ to keep hold of Kouassi, with Leonardo working hard for months to try and sort out a new deal for the teenager.
However, Leonardo and PSG have now been informed that Kouassi is leaving. He allegedly communicated his decision to PSG just a matter of days ago.
Kylian Mbappe and Presnel Kimpembe allegedly attempted to convince Kouassi to stay, but he will now leave when his contract ends on June 30th.
Despite links to both AC Milan and RB Leipzig, it’s stated that Kouassi won’t be heading there. Just where he is going is unknown, but Foot Mercato claim that Rennes are emerging as an option.
Kouassi, 18, will have no shortage of suitors. He has already made six Ligue 1 appearances for PSG, scoring twice whilst being backed for a huge future.
He now seemingly wants playing time, so could a move to England materialise? Le10 Sport recently noted that Newcastle want to sign Kouassi, eyeing a bargain move to sign him when his contract ends.

The ongoing confusion surrounding their takeover may just dent their chances, as it’s unclear just who would be taking charge of transfers.
90Min also claim that Leeds United want Kouassi, but that seemed dependent on him staying at PSG and then being loaned out – a situation that won’t be available now.
The news that he is leaving PSG may be of interest to both sides, but it will be a real battle for his signature.
