Motherwell youngster Sam Campbell could be heading to England with Premier League trio Leeds United, Liverpool and Brighton and Hove Albion seeing bids accepted for the defender, the Press Association tells FourFourTwo.

While Marcelo Bielsa’s Yorkshire giants have made some of the biggest signings in their 100-year history since sealing promotion, with £23 million Diego Llorente expected to join Rodrigo Moreno and Robin Koch at Elland Road, Leeds are planning for the long term too.

In Cody Drameh, Charlie Allen, Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood, the Whites have snapped up some of the most exciting teenagers in British football, while Crysencio Summerville and Dani van den Heuvel arrive with big reputations from the Netherlands.

According to PA, Campbell could be the latest fresh-faced gem unearthed by Leeds’ head of emerging talent – highly rated scout Craig Dean.

Leeds have had a bid accepted by Motherwell – but they are not alone.

In Graham Potter, Brighton have a coach famed for helping youngsters realise their potential.

And it goes without saying the same applies to Jurgen Klopp – a man who turned Trent Alexander-Arnold, Sadio Mane, Robert Lewandowski and more into world superstars.

Liverpool and Brighton have both agreed a deal with Motherwell too, while a Crystal Palace side who have made it their mission to inject youth into an ageing squad are also interested.

Motherwell still hope to keep Campbell, and have offered him a three-year contract.
