Leeds United and Leicester City will have to pay more than £10 million to sign Tommaso Pobega from AC Milan in the summer transfer window, as reported by Calciomercato.
A 2-0 defeat to Spezia on Saturday was painful enough for Serie A title-chasers AC Milan.
But at least the Rossoneri didn’t have to endure the added insult of seeing Pobega, a player they loaned to the top-flight newcomers in September, come off the bench during a shock loss at the Stadium Alberto Picco.
Pobega was left out of the starting XI for the visit of Stefano Pioli’s side – something of a surprise given the 21-year-old has been one of the most impressive young midfielders in Italy this season.
So much so that, according to Milan News, Leeds and Leicester are both weighing up moves for the U21 international ahead of the summer transfer window.
CM adds that Pobega has a future at the San Siro, with Milan harbouring high hopes for a man who joined their famed academy in 2013.
But if Leeds or Leicester are willing to pay a fee in excess of £10 million, the seven-time European champions may be tempted to cash in.

Pobega has been labelled the ‘new Nemanja Matic’ in Italy and you can see why.
Like the Manchester United veteran, the 6ft 2in powerhouse is an imposing presence at the heart of midfield, adept at winning back possession and starting attacks with his piercing passes.
Given that Kalvin Phillips and Wilfred Ndidi have endured a few injury problems this season, Pobega would certainly be a welcome addition at both Leeds and Leicester.
