According to the Orlando Sentinel, Daryl Dike has a $20 million (£14.5 million) price tag on his head, amid interest from Leeds and Everton.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Barnsley from Orlando City, where he is making a big impact for the in-form Championship outfit.

Dike has scored five goals in 12 Championship appearances, with his performances catching the eye of Leeds and Everton.

Eurosport revealed that the Toffees are keen on the 2-cap USA international.

Elsewhere, it was TEAMtalk who claimed Leeds are interested, as well as Newcastle and West Ham.

Dike made headlines after winning Barnsley’s Player of the Month award for March, and also the club’s Goal of the Month award.

The Oklahoma-born striker smashed a bullet of a strike into the top corner against Birmingham on March 6th to hand Barnsley a 1-0 win.

TEAMtalk added that Manchester United and Chelsea have been impressed by Dike’s efforts in England.

Wolves have also watched him closely due to his impressive form.

What type of player is he?

Well, his Barnsley teammate Jordan Williams compared him to Romelu Lukaku following his aforementioned wonderstrike.

Williams told the Yorkshire Post (via the BBC): “Daryl has got a rocket of a right foot. I think he’s similar to Lukaku. He hasn’t scored as many goals yet, but he can hit a ball just as hard.

“He’s only 20 years of age. It’s amazing.”

Given his age, and the fact he already has international experience, £14.5 million seems like a bargain, in our view.

Dike has bundles of potential, and looks likely to be the next exciting forward to swap the United States for England following Miguel Almiron’s £20 million move from Atalanta to Newcastle.
