Everton teenager Thierry Small has decided to cancel his scholarship with the club as he seeks a move away from Goodison Park.
That’s according to The Athletic, who claim that Small has cut ties with the club having ended his two-year scholarship earlier than planned.
The report adds that the decision was not mutual, with Small and his representatives forcing an exit having refused a professional contract at Goodison Park.
Small is now able to move on, and whilst Everton are entitled to compensation, the 17-year-old is able to pick his next club freely.
The left back became Everton’s youngest ever player against Sheffield Wednesday in January, but has decided his prospects are better elsewhere.
Three Premier League clubs are named as being keen on Small; Aston Villa, Leeds United and Southampton.

Leeds just signed a new left back in Junior Firpo, but may believe that Small can offer great competition there, just as Villa would with Matt Targett.
Southampton have thrown one teenage full back into their starting XI in Valentino Livramento, and a move to the South Coast could appeal for that reason.
Branded ‘fantastic’ by Everton coach David Unsworth, Small is being tipped for a huge future, and the battle for his signature is well and truly on after making the huge decision to leave Everton.
