Leeds United goalkeeper Robert Green is reportedly wanted by Huddersfield Town.

According to the Daily Mail, Huddersfield Town are plotting a late move to sign Leeds United goalkeeper Robert Green before the transfer deadline – and he is understood to be open to a move.
Green, 37, joined Leeds from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2016, and whilst some fans were left unconvinced by his arrival, he enjoyed a superb season under Garry Monk.
The former England international played all 46 of Leeds’ Championship games last season, and he was handed a new one-year contract back in March as a reward for his impressive performances.

However, Monk quit his role as Leeds manager earlier this summer, and after Thomas Christiansen arrived as his replacement, Leeds swooped to land German goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen – and he has become the first-choice goalkeeper at Elland Road.
Green only made his first appearance of the season in the 5-1 Carabao Cup win over Newport County on Tuesday night, and speculation suggests that he could actually move on before the transfer deadline on Thursday.
The Daily Mail report that Leeds’ West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town are keen to sign Green, with the veteran goalkeeper believed to be open to making the move to the John Smith’s Stadium.

David Wagner’s men have made a bright start to life in the Premier League with 3-0 and 1-0 wins over Crystal Palace and Newcastle respectively, and summer signing Jonas Lossl has kept two clean sheets from two games as he steps in as Huddersfield’s first-choice goalkeeper.
However, having lost loanee Danny Ward back to parent club Liverpool, Wagner is understood to want another goalkeeper to challenge with Lossl, as youngster Joel Coleman may be deemed too inexperienced to be second choice right now.
With Green struggling for playing time at Leeds, he may be tempted by one last crack at Premier League football, though some Leeds fans would be frustrated to see him leave for a local rival having been such a key player for the Whites last season.
