Kiko Casilla may still have a late change of heart and leave Leeds United during this summer transfer window, according to a report.
Leeds Live have claimed that Marcelo Bielsa is happy with Casilla in between his sticks, but if a Spanish club comes knocking for him then the former Real Madrid man could be tempted to leave.
It has been an up and down time for Casilla ever since he walked through the doors of Elland Road two seasons ago.
His mistakes proved to be costly in them missing out on promotion via the play-offs in 2018, but his performances improved last term when they earned promotion automatically.
But off-the-field matters did overshadow his displays on the pitch, as he was banned for eight matches after being found guilty of racially abusing Charlton’s Jonathan Leko – Illan Meslier stepped up during that period and did a solid job.
Whilst Leeds fans saw a more improved Casilla in 2019/20, he still had a mistake in him and it wouldn’t be a surprise if another shot-stopper does arrive before the window slams shut.

ESPN did previously report that Leeds are one of a number of clubs who are keen on Manchester United’s back-up keeper Sergio Romero.
Some Leeds fans may claim that Meslier perhaps deserves his chance in between the sticks if Casilla does leave because he hasn’t done much wrong when he has been given a chance.
But it would also be a big risk in handing a young and experienced player such a pressured job on Leeds’ return to the promised land.
