The Daily Mail claim Leeds United defender Leif Davis is ‘heading to’ League One club Ipswich Town for a fee of £1million. It comes after a disappointing loan spell during the 2021-22 campaign with Bournemouth.
Davis, 22, joined Leeds four years ago but he has only managed 14 senior appearances for the Yorkshire outfit. Only two of those have come off the bench in the Premier League. Last season, he went on loan to Bournemouth.

But even in the Championship, Davis managed only 15 outings under Scott Parker. He returns to Elland Road with a year left on his contract and while he has been involved in first-team training, he is likely to be sold this summer.
Bournemouth had a £1.5million option to make the deal permanent, but after promotion to the Premier League, they decided not to activate that deal. Now, The Mail say he is ‘heading to’ Portman Road this summer.
Leeds defender Davis is ‘heading to’ Ipswich
Davis does need to leave Leeds. But is it a good move? Surely, the defender would have preferred to have joined a Championship club this summer. But Ipswich are a big fish in a small pond and promotion will be the aim.
Last season, he struggled for games in the second tier. So perhaps, Ipswich is a chance for Davis to re-establish himself, help the Tractor Boys gain promotion and show why Leeds brought him to the club at 18 in the first place.
