Rangers captain Lee Wallace is in talks over a new deal, according to reports.

According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers have opened talks with left back Lee Wallace about a new two-year contract extension.
The Gers signed Wallace, 28, from Hearts back in 2011, and he’s been a mainstay of the Rangers side ever since – even staying with the club when they were demoted to the fourth tier.
Wallace has helped drag Rangers all the way back from oblivion to where they are now, as he captained the club to promotion from the Scottish Championship this past season.
A key member of the squad at Ibrox, Wallace will be heavily relied upon for the Scottish Premiership campaign next term too – and it seems that manager Mark Warburton wants to reward him for his loyalty and performances.
The Scottish Sun report that, with Wallace’s contract expiring next summer, Warburton has asked for the left back to receive a new deal, and talks are underway between the club and player as a result.
It’s claimed that Wallace is in talks to sign a new two-year extension, meaning his new deal would take him up to the summer of 2019.
That would take him to the age of 31, and if Wallace can continue to perform like he did this past season – scoring nine goals in all competitions – there may yet be another offer on the table down the line, given how Warburton values the experience of Wallace and Kenny Miller.
