Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly failed to sign Leander Dendoncker.
According to Foot Mercato, Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker has snubbed moves to Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.
Dendoncker, 23, has come up through the Anderlecht ranks having joined from Roeselare as a teenager, and has already racked up nearly 200 appearances for the Belgian giants.
Much like Vincent Kompany, Adnan Januzaj, Dennis Praet, Youri Tielemans and Romelu Lukaku before him, Dendoncker could earn a big move having come through the Anderlecht setup – but he has seemingly rejected moves this summer.
Foot Mercato in France report that Dendoncker has not only rejected a potential move to Marseille, but also snubbed both Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Dendoncker was allegedly the subject of €20million (£17.75million) bids, but he still can’t find a club he wants to join, with one source claiming he is listening too much to his advisors, who ‘don’t understand the job’.
Strong and combative, Dendoncker can play in holding midfield or at centre back, and his versatility has seen him earn major interest in recent years.
After being a part of Belgium’s World Cup squad, Dendoncker looked primed for a move this summer – but having turned down two Premier League clubs, it’s unclear whether he will find a club that suits his desires.
