Arsenal’s biggest priority this summer is to tie down Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to a long-term contract. Things have looked positive over the last few days and rumours over a potential exit have quietened down as well.

Gunners supporters would be delighted if Aubameyang extends his stay at the club. He is Arsenal’s captain, top scorer and arguably their best player, and him staying would give Mikel Arteta a big boost ahead of his first full season in charge.

That would leave Alexandre Lacazette in a bit of a pickle. The Frenchman has lost his place to Eddie Nketiah and, despite his goal at the weekend, Arteta is likely to stick with the youngster.

That has alerted multiple clubs across Europe. L’Equipe have claimed that as many as three clubs are interested in Lacazette and are prepared to table a bid for the Frenchman this summer.

Inter Milan’s and Atletico Madrid’s interest in the Arsenal man has been covered on numerous occasions before. The duo are now joined by Italian champions Juventus, who have allegedly initiated talks with the player’s entourage.

The Old Lady are set to lose Gonzalo Higuain this summer. Lacazette is being viewed as a replacement for the Argentine and Juventus are said to be serious contenders.

The Italian giants, like Atletico Madrid, are prepared to offer a player in exchange for the Frenchman. But the report claims that Arsenal have refused all conversations until the end of the season.

Will Arsenal let Lacazette leave?

The Gunners might just allow Lacazette to move on this summer, purely for financial reasons. The Frenchman, with two years still left on his contract, is worth a lot of money – something that Arsenal could do with.

Aubameyang and Nketiah can take over the number nine role while Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, who have both signed new deals, are more than capable of playing on either wing.

Add Nicolas Pepe and Reiss Nelson into the mix and Arsenal have more than enough firepower in attack, which might force Lacazette out in the upcoming summer transfer window.
