Norwich City’s Premier League stay came to a disappointing end after just one season. The Canaries had a dismal campaign, securing just 21 points in 38 games, their lowest ever points total in any division.

The drop down to the Championship is a massive blow for Norwich. Their finances will take a big hit and their chances of keeping hold of all of their talented youngsters will also be a difficult job.

Norwich’s technical director, Stuart Webber, spoke about his side’s future after their relegation, and he was adamant that the Canaries were under no pressure to let go of their star players for cheap. (Norwich City’s YouTube channel)

However, that hasn’t stopped Bayern Munich from making an approach for one of Norwich’s most exciting young players.

Sky Germany claim that the Bundesliga champions have contacted Max Aarons’ representatives to express an interest in signing the young full-back.

The report says that Bayern officials have made it clear that they are fully convinced of Aarons’ potential and the Norwich City star is said to be open to a move to Munich as well.

Bayern have also reportedly tabled a bid of £18.2 million to sign the young Englishman. It is unclear if that will be enough to convince Norwich City, who had put a price-tag of £27.4 million on Aarons before they suffered relegation.

That price will likely come down but whether it will drop down to £18 million remains to be seen. Aarons has a bright future ahead of him and he certainly deserves to play in the top-flight next season.

The report says that Norwich will not stand in his way if he wants to leave, but they will only let him go if their demands are met.

Bayer Leverkusen are also said to be interested but if Bayern really want him, they shouldn’t have any problems getting him in the coming weeks.
