Juventus are hoping to tempt Raul Jimenez away from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer, with a two-year loan offer being prepared for the Premier League hero according to Tuttosport.

This really isn’t the best of years to target a new, big-name number nine. Almost every club in the game will be under pressure to scrimp and save in the months ahead, as the impact of the global health crisis becomes apparent.

With Wolves demanding at least £45 million for a man who has scored goals for fun in Old Gold over the last two seasons, Juventus know that they will have to be creative in their approach.

The Serie A champions do have an excellent relationship with Jimenez’s agent, the irrepressible Iberian Jorge Mendes, and they will be hoping that he can make a rather outlandish-looking bid succeed.

Tuttosport claims that Juve are hoping to sign Jimenez on loan until the summer of 2022, with his £45 million price-tag proving to be rather prohibitive during a period of unprecedented financial uncertainty.

It remains to be seen, however, what Wolves would get out of this arrangement. In two years, the Mexico international will be 31 and, unless he scores at a remarkable rate in Turin, you would imagine that his valuation would have diminished somewhat by then.
