Italian outlet CMW claim that AC Milan want to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez with the player said to dislike Antonio Conte – but Milan may wait until the end of the window before striking a long-to-buy deal.
Sanchez, 26, was an unused substitute on Saturday afternoon as Tottenham eased past Southampton to win 4-1. He is likely to be back-up this season, even after the departure of Joe Rodon. Antonio Conte’s back three is established.
Cristian Romero, Eric Dier and Ben Davies will start most games. On the left, Clement Lenglet is likely to start if Davies is unavailable and could replace Dier in the middle. Japhet Tanganga remains at the club, despite Milan interest.
So, Sanchez could consider an exit this summer in order to increase his game time. The report states that Milan are ready to revisit their interest in the ex-Ajax defender. But they may wait until the end of the window to sign him.

In the mean time, they will continue to pursue Lazio’s Francesco Acerbi. If a move does not materialise, Sanchez could be targeted. The report claims Sanchez wants to leave and ‘does not like Antonio Conte very much’.
Milan want to sign Tottenham defender Sanchez
It would be a brilliant move for Sanchez. Joining the Serie A champions, who will be in the Champions League next season. He would likely start given Milan need a defender and have lost Alessio Romagnoli in recent weeks.
The £67k-a-week defender has never really done enough to convince Spurs fans that he was worth the transfer fee. That is despite clocking up 180 appearances in all competitions during his five-year spell in North London.
A move for Sanchez could be necessary, with Spurs still said to be on the lookout for a defender this summer. However, if Spurs decide to let Japhet Tanganga go, then Sanchez will surely be kept in the coming weeks and months.
