According to The Scottish Sun, Lazio are interested in signing Hearts defender Aaron Hickey despite claims of an imminent move to Celtic.

It’s claimed that the Italian side have joined the race to sign Hickey, with a number of clubs already in the mix to sign him.

AC Milan, Crystal Palace and Manchester City are keen too. Now, Lazio are thought to want him as well, having monitored his progress this season.

The problem for Lazio is that Hickey may already be on the move. 90Min claimed last week that Hickey has already chosen a move to Celtic this summer.

That report claims that Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Leeds United are interested in Hickey, but Celtic appear to have won the race.

The 18-year-old full back started out with Hearts before heading to Celtic, only to then return to Hearts in 2018 – where he has become a first-team ace.

It seems that Hickey will be heading back to Celtic in a strange twist of fate, but the presence of Lazio – a team Celtic beat in the Europa League this season – could be a late issue.
