Serie A side Lazio are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal’s Calum Chambers and Newcastle United’s Jamaal Lascelles in the summer.

Simone Inzaghi’s side missed out on European football after finishing eighth in Serie A last season. Lazio are keen to bring in emerging players over famous names to their squad in the summer and the Premier League duo are considered to be among their targets.
Chambers had a strong season on loan at Fulham where he was a shining light in an otherwise disappointing season for the Cottagers. The Arsenal man played 33 times in all competitions for Fulham last season and was voted as the club’s player of the year.
Arsenal could certainly do with someone as versatile as Chambers in their squad especially with Aaron Ramsey leaving to Juventus. The 24-year-old excelled in central midfield for Fulham and his availability among Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka could tempt Unai Emery to revert to a back-four next season.

Newcastle, on the other hand, will suffer a massive blow if their skipper decides to make the switch to Italy in the summer. Lascelles has been a real leader for the Magpies over the last three years and his presence has played a key role in helping the side stay in the Premier League.
Lascelles signed a new deal with Newcastle which ties him down at St James’ Park until the summer of 2024 and this should fill the club with a ton of confidence ahead of the reported interest in their captain from the Italians.
